Parsons × Helpsy Upcycling Project
For the HELPSY project at Parsons School of Design, I made brand new skirts by repurposing discarded clothing and materials.
I deconstructed a blue vacation dress I got from Helpsy, broke it down into strips of fabric and added a white silk lining. I used techniques such as punching, threading and sewing to join the strips of fabric together, resulting in a new and unique dress. The production process was extremely challenging, as I had to utilize a limited amount of fabric, and it was difficult to complete the production, filming of the video, and development of the system map in a short period of time. Despite the difficulties, this project pushed me to think creatively and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Utopia Project
The Utopia Aqua Vista project is a conceptual vision of a future in which humans have adapted to live in both aquatic and terrestrial environments as a result of rising sea levels due to climate change. In this speculative design scenario, cities like New York, which have been severely impacted by flooding, have developed dual living systems - partly underwater and partly on land.
The project envisions sustainable floating cities or buildings that blend seamlessly with the ocean. People will live in harmony with the marine ecosystem and architecture and fashion will be adapted to life on the water. Architecture and fashion will draw inspiration from marine life, incorporating aquatic design and materials that can withstand the underwater environment.

Chakra Project
The Chakra Purple Apron project is a fashion design concept that combines spirituality with practical clothing design. The apron was inspired by the third eye chakra - associated with intuition, spiritual awareness and inner vision, symbolizing protection and creativity. The color purple, which represents the third eye chakra, was a key element of the design, as purple is traditionally associated with spirituality, wisdom and higher consciousness.
The design of this apron goes beyond the functional use of cooking or crafting; it becomes a representation of spiritual alignment. By wearing it, the user symbolically connects to the ideas of intuition and enlightenment. The aprons are designed with the idea that the wearer will be able to visualize their inner spiritual journey while completing their daily tasks, thus promoting a balance between the material and the spiritual.

The Transition Project: SPIDER’S WEB
For my project, I explored the concept of transformation by drawing inspiration from the spider's web weaving. I began with a list of transformations and ultimately chose the spider's web as a focal point because the way a spider draws silk from its own body to create a web captivates me. This behavior fascinates me because spiders use their own resources to build homes, symbolizing creativity and self-reliance. The spider's act of building a home out of its own body resonates with the idea that we must invest our own energy and effort to build our own safe spaces - both spiritually and physically. I created a vignette with a spider's web that visualizes this metaphor and represents the interconnectedness between our behavior and the transformations we experience in our lives.

Artist’s sketchbook : Greer Lankton
For my project to emulate an artist and create a sketchbook of his work, I chose Greer Lankton, an artist whose work resonates deeply with me. Lankton is known for exploring themes of gender identity, addiction, and personal struggle, which I wanted to recreate in the sketchbook. I chose 1981 for the sketchbook and aged the pages with coffee to give it a worn, vintage look. To make the sketchbook more authentic, I added elements such as Greer's daily sketches, letters to her parents, diary entries, and consumer records. I also included a project she named “Androgynous,” which reflects her personal journey, as well as notes about her astrological hobbies and daily plans (such as visits to the hospital). I was pleased with the end result, as I believe her sketchbook might have been, I think I could have added more detailed elements. In the process, I learned a lot about Lankton's personal life, especially aspects that are not commonly reported in public, such as her interest in astrology. Through field trips to her online work, I gained a deeper understanding of her life and creative process, helping me to better understand her world and how she navigates it with her art.
